Everyone needs an elevator pitch. Why?
We have all had someone ask what we do for work. Make sure that you are properly prepared with an answer that will promote your personal brand. Whether you are looking for a job, needing an investor for your business or wanting to build your career, you never know what opportunity each person carries.
Here are a couple of tips to creating your elevator pitch:
- Keep it short – 30-60 seconds
- Spark the individual’s interest
- Speak more about how your skills have benefited others
- Remove industry jargon
- Keep in mind the individual may have no idea what you or your company does
