RCS Corporation has an immediate need for an Engineering Manager in Lakewood, CO. This is an onsite position, remote work is not an option. This position is contract with the potential for direct hire.

Our client is an EPC company specializing in the construction materials and fines agglomeration industries, among others. Their aim of is to study the needs of the customer and to come up with the best possible customized solution, whatever it is. This allows them to work in the best interest of the customer at all times.


Job description

Specific duties include:

  • Supervise and manage lead engineers and drafters to design systems, plan and develop projects,

  • Control that quality control documents and procedures are in place and followed.

  • Mange continuous improvement within the department

  • Make sure design work is always delivered on time and within budgets

  • Participate in development of new products and solutions.

  • Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff.

  • Write performance reviews and solve internal personnel issues.

  • Discuss and establish project specifications.

  • Make detailed plans to accomplish goals.

  • Analyze project demand and available resources.

  • Review, approve, or modify product designs.

  • Develop Engineering cost estimates.

  • Check technical accuracy of work.

  • Enforce Engineering administrative policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Coordinate with other client's Engineering entities, especially with Project Managers

  • Confer with higher levels of management

  • Track Engineering hours and cost codes

  • International travels to do site surveys (hand measurements, 3D scans, thermal and flow measurements)


  • Have a strong common sense, a deep understanding of “value engineering”,

  • Have a natural leadership while working in a small team environment.

  • Must be well organized and able to organize engineer’s work and work tools

  • Have above average communication, management skills and be ready to manage closely a team of up to 10 engineers.

  • He must also feel comfortable in working in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment as our customers are from all over the world. Speaking several languages will be a plus

  • Be knowledgeable of new technologies and design software for the engineering field

  • Have at least 3 years of engineering experience and 1 year managing engineers

  • Hands on experience in Autocad and Solidworks is a must.

  • Proficient in Excel and Word

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering
