RCS Corporation has an immediate need for a Project Manager in Denver, CO. This is an onsite position, remote work is not an option. This position is contract with the potential for direct hire.

Our Client

Our client is an EPC (Engineer, Procure and Construct) company specializing in the design and building of plants in the construction material industries and technical ceramic firing solutions. Based on the accomplishments and experiences of the senior members of their team, they to be considered the worldwide leader for the design of manufacturing lines for the production of stiff extruded clay products. However, they also has many applications in the full range of clay products as well as concrete products, fly ash products, etc. In addition they have many connections with other specialized engineering companies, which enables it to deal with most projects in the construction material industry.

Job description

Job Safety is the Project Manager first priority. All decisions made must take the safety aspect in consideration.

For on-site work, the Project Manager must make sure that all the necessary safety procedures are in place and followed as per the company safety manuals. The Project Manager must immediately inform Management if a safety procedure is not followed.

Responsible for managing all aspects of the nominated project(s) and managing to the key performance indicators as mentioned below. The projects may consist of but not limited to; sourcing materials and equipment, manufacturing equipment, installing equipment and commissioning equipment to meet contractual obligations for the nominated project assigned.

The Project Manager will be expected to check all design requirements as per client engineering policy before construction or purchase either locally or overseas equipment/materials needed to meet contractual obligations of the nominated project. The project manager will select subcontractors or suppliers within client guidelines to supply the required services and equipment to meet the nominated project requirements.

Key Performance Indicators
 

  • Safety is the Project Manager’s first priority

  • Make sure that all work performed on a Job Site respects all client safety procedures in place

  • Manage day to day operational aspects of a project and scope

  • Effectively applies client methodology and enforces project standards

  • Ability to read and understand drawings and job specifications

  • Maintain schedule to ensure a timely completion of project to the contracted time line

  • Maintain and manage project budget

  • Signature and payment of Final Acceptance

  • Issue quotation requests, bid analysis and purchase orders

  • Develop supplier relationships that support the supply chain

  • Verify quality and accuracy of materials and equipment supplied

  • Maintain a quality control program

  • Customer satisfaction

  • Interest taken in the process and technical aspect of the project

  • Gross Margin at the end of project is met

  • Overall performance of the project team utilized for the nominated project

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering or Business

  • 3-5 years experience with Project Management in a traditional manufacturing/construction industry

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Strong communication skills:

    • Will need not only to communicate with the process and proposal team, but also with the engineering department, project managers, suppliers and customers to ensure constant updating of database and company expertise

    • Will be writing up proposals to be submitted to customers

  • Deeply interested in manufacturing process and able to look at and understand the big picture

  • Task oriented position, deadlines have to be respected

The following are a plus:

  • Experience with management of Capital Expenditures

  • Knowledge of a second language such as French, Spanish or Chinese
