RCS Corporation is currently seeking full time Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs) to work in the Northern California area. RFPs will support field activities during Assessment/Monitoring of Disaster Debris and Hazard Tree Removal operations.

About
RPFs will conduct parcel site and hazard tree assessment, oversight, documentation, and reporting of all Disaster Debris and Hazard Tree Removal (DDHT) performed by other contractors, in accordance with authority having jurisdiction.
Responsibilities:
- Complete planning, layout, and operational supervision of forest restoration and timber harvesting projects on private and public lands
- Complete project mapping using office and field GIS applications
- Complete project-specific reports to support CEQA and NEPA compliance
- Assist in utility vegetation management projects
- Responsible for logging supervision including associated road construction and maintenance
- Implement forest inventory; install and measure fixed and variable radius plots. for our forest and carbon inventories
- Responsible for the oversight of subcontractors to conduct biological surveys and habitat assessments for northern spotted owls, California red legged frogs, foothill yellow legged frogs and other species of interest
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Forestry or related field
- Must be a Registered Professional Forester
- Must be a California Licensed RPF
- Ability to work up to 6 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, outdoors
- Must have valid driver license and good driving record
- Self Starter, eager to learn and to contribute to the overall success of our forest management program
- Strong work ethic and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to productively engage with contractors, customers, stakeholder groups and the general public
- Proficiency with MS Suite applications i.e. Word and Excel
- Technically Savvy
