The History of RCS

Founded by Carlos Garcia – a former Regulatory Compliance Manager & Mechanical Engineer in the Nuclear industry – RCS Corporation (RCS) originated in Aiken, SC as an engineering consultancy firm with a focus in regulatory compliance services. The company was created to fill the immediate needs of U.S. Department of Energy contractors at the nearby Savannah River Site, but quickly expanded it’s services to include construction, engineering, environmental, health and safety, staffing and payroll, staff augmentation, training and procedures, and more for other businesses in and around the Aiken community.

RCS experiences a significant shift and interest in its direct hire, contract staffing and payroll services and makes the conscientious decision to focus all of its resources on workforce solutions. RCS transitions to a staffing agency delivering top talent and staffing solutions to best-in-class companies and professionals in the Engineering & Energy industries.

Driven by a vision of broader impact and accessibility, RCS opens a second location and moves its headquarters to Charlotte, NC. This expansion symbolized the company’s commitment to providing exceptional staffing solutions on a national scale, catalyzing its transformation into a trusted partner for companies and job seekers across the country.

On August 5th, 2010, Carlos Garcia transfers 100% ownership of RCS Corporation to Karen Garcia – his wife and 13-year veteran of the company. This transition marked a significant step in ensuring continuity and stability within the company, aligning with its core values of family-centric leadership and long-term sustainability.

RCS becomes a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC, National Certification No: 2005125694) and The Supplier Clearinghouse – Utility Supplier Diversity Program of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC, VON: 9KS0003). The WBENC grants RCS Corporation with a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) certification by the U.S. Small Business Administration (Certification Number: WOSB202024). Certified November 30, 2021 – Present. View Certificate

RCS Corporation announces the appointment of Lauren (Garcia) Piosa to President, and Antonio Piosa to Vice President following former president, Karen Garcia’s retirement. The new leadership changes ensure RCS continues to thrive under the stewardship of leaders deeply connected to its roots, and classifies the company as a minority-owned business.

In celebration of its 30-year milestone and recent leadership changes, RCS Corporation rebrands itself to reflect a new trade name, RCS Staffing – unveiling a new logo and website.

RCS receives its official Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council (CVMSDC). View Certificate
